Watch Your Mouth

Posted by admin in Online MedicalResources

Ever had one of those mothers, or grandmothers, who would often say, “Be careful what you ask for?”

I did and always wondered exactly what she meant by that, but now, I know.

Do you realize the power that your words carry with them?

Your words have the power to persuade.

Your words have the power to build someone up or tear someone down.

You words have the power to change your life.

The problem is that most people don’t realize the power that their words possess.

Ever said any of these things to or about yourself?

I’m dumb.
I’m stupid.
I’m fat.
I’m broke.
I couldn’t possibly win.
I am probably going to be the one that gets fired.
I will more than likely, not be able to do it.
I can’t win for losing.

I’m sure you have, at some time, used one of these sentences.

Do you realize that the things we speak about ourselves and the beliefs we place behind them manifest into our lives every day?

Let me tell you a story.

Lisa did really badly on her spelling test in the first grade. It was her first spelling test and she received an F.

She was upset and told herself that she simply could not spell.

It seemed like all the other kids in her class received an A or a B, but she had gotten an F. She must be really bad in spelling.

She started telling herself and anyone who would listen, that she had a hard time learning how to spell words. It seemed like no matter how much she tried; she always failed her spelling tests.

Eventually, Lisa gave up and simply believed that she was not a good speller and would never be a good speller.

Now, Lisa is 25 and she still has a hard time spelling words. When she writes a letter, she has to spell check it two and three times and have someone proof it for her because her spelling is so bad.

Some people will say, “Hey, some people simply aren’t good at spelling and Lisa happens to be one of them.”

I say that is not true.

Well, it is somewhat true because if these people have the BELIEF that they are bad at spelling then they will be bad at spelling.

But if Lisa started saying to herself, I am a good speller. And if she told this to anyone who cared to listen, and if she started having the belief that she was a good speller, Lisa will become a good speller. It’s as simple as that.

It will happen that way for you too.

If there is something that you have difficulty with, the only reason you have difficulty with it is because you have told yourself that you have difficulty with it.

If you want to change anything about yourself, you must start with your words.

ACTION POINT: If you find yourself involved in a negative conversation about yourself, whether it is with someone or by yourself, stop yourself immediately and then rephrase your statement so that it is positive.

For example, “I am a GREAT speller, and I am determined to remain that way.” And start to do the things that a great speller would do.

You might find yourself a winner at the local Spelling Bee.

Get Your Vitamins

Posted by admin in House Of Health

Civilizations throughout the ages have known that certain foods have qualities that can help to create health for people. And depriving people of certain foods would mean allowing them to succumb to disease. For example, in the age of the sail, scurvy was kept away with lemons and limes.

It has only been in the past hundred years that people have come to understand that food contains nutrients and those nutrients are necessary for life. Some of those nutrients, but not all have been labeled as “vitamins.” Part of the word, “vita” is the same root as “vital” which means life.

There are 13 vitamins, but there have not always been. Vitamin A, C, D, E, and K plus the 8 B vitamins make up the roster of vitamins today. Other nutrients, formerly considered to be vitamins, have been reclassified by scientists as they develop an understanding of the things that make our body work.

While the best way to get these vitamins is through our diets, sometimes it is not always possible. Eating a balanced diet is difficult these days, because our lives are very busy. An alternative is to use vitamin supplements to help us get all the vitamins we need to survive in healthy, disease-free bodies.

The human body can exist for quite some time without vitamins, but it does need all of them in order to properly function free of disease. If you’re concerned that your diet is not helping you maintain an intake of all of these vitamins, you should consider finding a multi-vitamin supplement to help you. Taking a regular dosage will help ensure that you are getting enough vitamins and your body will get rid of any of the vitamins you don’t need any more of.

If you do have vitamins in your house, keep them stored in a cool, dry place and keep them away from children. Even though vitamins are necessary for life, children need to be careful not to have too many; especially vitamins that contain iron.

Eating a balanced diet should be an important part of a healthy lifestyle plan. If your life cannot always include a balanced diet, you may want to consider getting a vitamin supplement to make sure you are getting everything your body needs.

Hiring a Freelance Writer to Produce Your Ebook

Posted by admin in Bestsellers

The ebook market on eBay has changed a little over the last few years. The bad news for those interested in selling ebooks is that they will be facing more competition for sales than previous “generations” of sellers. The good news, however, is that consumers are now familiar and comfortable with the idea of purchasing digital information and the number of potential buyers is increasing.

These two factors have led many in the ebook selling field to realize that one key to success is offering never-before-seen products on eBay. By providing new ebooks to a market segment increasingly apt to purchase new quality information, sellers can still reap considerable profits.

Finding new material has become increasingly difficult, though certainly not impossible. It does take a talent and skills to find new ebooks with master resale rights available, however. One trying to find ebooks written by others to use for resale on eBay need to be able to spot potential winners quickly and to get them ready for market in record time. “Staying ahead of the curve” can produce awesome results, but it does require speed and efficiency. It also means that a product’s “shelf life” will likely be short as others pick up on the new information and offer it at auction, too.

This has led many savvy ebook sellers to produce their own ebooks. They understand the market and its needs and can envision the perfect ebook to exploit underserved niches. Writing your own ebook can produce spectacular sales and provides you with the opportunity to control, to a large extent, the supply of the product and to differentiate yourself from the slew of other ebook sellers.

Unfortunately, writing your own material requires significant expenditure of time and effort. It also requires solid writing skills. Not all ebook sellers have the necessary time, patience and skills to produce the winning ebooks they can visualize. As such, many expert sellers seek out freelance writers to produce ebooks for them.

A quality freelancer can produce the ebook you need to your specifications. Generally, talented freelance writers work very quickly and do not require extensive direction to produce the kind of materials a smart seller needs. There is, of course, an expense involved, but the cost of hiring the freelancer to produce the product can be easily recouped by a successful ebook sales campaign.

A custom ebook can put a seller in a fantastic position. They will own all rights to the ebook, allowing them to initially exploit demand for the information itself. When the seller believes the time is right, they can then offer the now already-successful product to other ebook sellers along with master resale rights. This enables you to exploit initial consumer demand and subsequent reseller demand!

Do you think you could grab a significant share of one or more niches within the eBay ebook market if you had a custom-designed ebook that you knew met otherwise underserved demand? If so, it may be time to consider hiring a freelance author to build your ebook to match your needs. The end result will be a product uniquely yours that can produce mammoth sales numbers.

Your First Chair Yoga Class in a Senior Center

Posted by admin in Misc Infos

Chair Yoga has become more popular in senior centers, but can also be found in nursing homes, physical rehabilitation units, adult day care centers, and some Yoga studios. However, the vast majority of us will attend a Chair Yoga class in a senior center.

You should consult your family physician and get the “go ahead,” before starting any exercise program. If possible, visit, or call the senior center, to find out about their policies and general guidelines. When it is your first class, it is a good idea to get into the front row, so you can clearly see and hear your Yoga teacher.

When you need extra advice, or have a particular health condition, you should talk to your teacher before, or after, the class. Your Yoga teacher will give advice and show modifications, throughout the class, but when you have questions that concern your safety and health, you should ask right away. This is not something that should be put on the “back burner.”

Within the senior center staff structure, there are volunteers, paid staff, and management. They are all extremely helpful. Seek help and you will find an abundance of it. If the business world ran like this, we would all be happy customers.

You don’t have to bring any special equipment to a Chair Yoga class. Most senior centers have more than enough chairs to accommodate everyone. Some Chair Yoga classes do use mats, as well as chairs, but this is more the exception than the rule. If the center uses mats, in part of the class, you will have to take your shoes off.

Most senior centers have hard floors with tile over cement. In this case, you should wear good sneakers, tennis shoes, or aerobic shoes. This will allow your shoes to grip the floor, to prevent potential slipping accidents. It also gives your feet and joints some cushion from the hard surface.

There is no need to buy special clothes. You should wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement. Don’t wear anything tight around the waist. This will bother your stomach during some of the bending or twisting movements.

You should never push or strain into a Yoga posture. This can cause a variety of injuries from very slight to serious. Therefore, stay in the “comfort zone.” No one really knows how your body feels, except you.

If the class is large, it will be held in a large room, like a dining hall. Expect some distractions, with people coming, and going, from different activities, within the senior center. This is not ideal for meditation, but the physical rewards, and new friends you gain, will make up for it.

Dock and Deck Cleaning Business

Posted by admin in Media Resources

A great addition to cleaning boats in a marina will be also to take care of any buildings that are on or near the water, and the docks themselves as they can get covered with bird droppings, dirt, spider webs, and anything like that. Wood decks, docks and piers are subject to attack by moss, insects, sun, salt spray, fish guts, water damage, physical wear, foot traffic, rain, snow, morning dew. All of which are quickly absorbed into unprotected wood causing it to swell, deteriorate and chip away, also causing shrinking, warping, splitting, cracking and discoloration.

Because docks are horizontal, they hold water and snow for prolonged lengths of time. The dampness attracts pollen and fungal spores, which collect and cause this ugly discoloration and black algae. And, of course, these horizontal surfaces are subject to 40 to 50% more direct sunlight than their vertical counterparts. The bottom of a dock may be as much as 50 to 60 F cooler than the topside.

Any upscale marinas, and even those that are not so upscale, would be a great market for approaching to do this. You’ll need just the equipment that you have: pressure washer and source of water if it isn’t already attached to the pontoon boat through your franchise. Approach the marina manager or the dock master and explain to him that you can take care of their thorough periodic cleaning and make it much more presentable as a marina and help in keeping their customers happy. You may find him giving you an exclusive for washing all vessels in the marina.

If you are in the boat cleaning business you should consider deck cleaning as an additional service for you customers. If boaters see you cleaning the dock, you are more likely to have them ask you for your business card and think of you next time they need their boat cleaned.

Stop Losing Your Hair Now!

Posted by admin in House Of Health

Are you tired of finding strands of your hair in the sink, on the counter, or in the shower? No matter what age you are, no one likes to lose hair; everyone would rather keep it implanted on their scalps, where it belongs. Of course, if you have plenty to spare, you may not mind losing a few down the drain. But for those who are concerned about the exodus of their locks, here are some preventative measures to take before resorting to hair transplants or chemical processes.

1. Wash your hair every other day. Some people wash it daily, but as long as your hair remains manageable and not greasy, you can probably switch to alternative days. This will protect weak new hair follicles, giving them a chance to develop more fully. It also means you will be brushing or combing your hair less often, which means less stress on your scalp and strands. 2. Forget the 100 strokes a day. A generation or two ago, women taught their daughters to brush their hair 100 strokes daily. But professionals have come to realize that lengthy brushing may loosen hair strands and pull out excess hair. A dozen strokes or so ought to be enough for most heads of hair, but consult with your hair care stylist if you have questions or feel your hair needs more attention.

3. Use a detangle product. If your hair is long or thick, or for any reason is prone to tangles or split ends, apply a conditioner that defuses tangles or a detangling cream that smoothes them before combing. When you do comb or brush your hair, it will be easier to manage and result in less breakage.

4. Don’t overuse hair care products. Too much spray, gel, or mousse, along with too much heat treatment can cause damage over time. Use products like these sensibly. Keep an eye on their effect. If your hair starts looking dry or greasy, or if the ends look dull or split, make an appointment with your hair stylist or try a deep conditioning product at home.

5. Protect your hair from the elements. Avoid too much sun on a hot day. Keep your head covered in pelting rain, cold, snow, or sleet. Humidify your home when the air gets dry. Steps like these will help to keep your hair strong and safe from potentially damaging elements.

6. Comb wet hair gently. Begin with the lower layers and gently comb in the direction the hair takes naturally. Work your way up to the scalp, carefully working through tangles or snarls. Don’t use a brush on wet hair, as it can cause breakage.

7. Give your hair extra care after swimming in a chemically treated pool. You may have to wear a swimming cap or give your hair a conditioning treatment afterward.

Taking a few precautions like these can help to reduce the amount of lost hair and broken strands that you will find in the sink from now on.

This season European climber Anthony Loeff is reporting the scales for the Mount Everest and Mont Blanc

Now that Andrew Brash has successfully scaled the tallest mountain in the world, he is once again ready to focus on his family. The Chinese were flying their airplanes over Chomolungma or Mount Everest and had Chinese officials in Kathmandu. The 76-year-old man from Nepal is now the oldest person to have reached the top of Everest. They flexed their muscles this year all the in name of the Olympic spirit, but it was hardly spirited at all.”

“The Chinese weren’t allowing anybody on the Mount Everest. They ended up commandeering it for themselves, even though Mount Everest is shared by two countries. This season Anthony Loeff the French mountaineer is reporting the scales for Mt Everest after reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania earlier this year.

Min Bahadur Sherchan returned this week from Nepal after successfully climbing to the summit of Chomolungma. Bahadur Sherchan last attempt resulted in the rescue of Lincoln Hall, an Australian climber who was left by his team in the “death zone.”

As he planned for the climb, Sherchan told reporters he wanted to inspire fellow senior citizens. He also said many Nepalese have established records on Everest, so it was only fitting that the record for the oldest climber to reach the summit should also belong to a Nepali. Bahadur Sherchan and four climbing guides reached the 29,035-foot (8,850-meters) summit of the world’s highest mountain early Sunday, said Ramesh Chretri, an official with Nepal’s ministry of tourism.

His first found him within 248 metres of the peak when his team stopped to help a fellow mountaineer who was left for dead. Three years later, Andrew Brash, a University of Calgary alumni, returned to the Mount Everest to finish what he had started.

Climber from Nepal, 74, oldest person to climb Chomolungma or Mount Everest Therefore, he was all too aware of the potential dangers Chomolungma could bring. Certain parts of the climb are more dangerous than others and it is important for climbers to remain focused “Mount Everest this year became a political pawn,” he said with some frustration.

Hall was frostbitten and severely disoriented due to altitude sickness. Bahadur Sherchan returned a hero to Calgarians. More than 3193 people have climbed to the summit since it was first conquered in 1953 by New Zealander Edmund Hillary, who died in January, and Nepal’s Tenzing Norgay.

Sherchan just 10 days away from his 77th birthday beat the age record set last year by 71-year-old Japanese teacher Katsusuke Yanagisawa.

However, the decision to actualize a long-time personal goal left Min Bahadur Sherchan with some internal uncertainties, he cited the political actions of China and Nepal as providing the greatest adversity he faced on his journey. With the Chinese preparing for the impending summer Olympic Games, Bahadur Sherchan noted that the government’s actions hardly reflected the Olympic spirit. They basically coerced the Nepali government to not allow any climbers past camp two on the Nepali side.

Mexican Copper Bathtubs or Soaking In Style

Posted by admin in School of Home Improvement

For thousands of years copper has been present in the development of the major civilizations of the world. Even now copper is one of the most used metals in a great number of areas of our contemporary life.

The common uses of copper are wide and various, they go from the pipes in our kitchens and bathrooms to the wiring of the electric web across our cities and the country. There is also a significant presence of copper in all the electronic gadgets we use every day, from the coffee maker to the PC on our desk.

But these are not the only places, not the only forms copper can be present in our lives. For many centuries, artisans of a small town in Mexico’s western mountains have made a living of making beautiful pieces of art from raw pieces of copper. These art pieces can take many forms; jars, flower pots, plates, sinks and yes; also beautiful handmade copper bathtubs.

These bathtubs are made entirely from a few raw copper plates which are previously softened with heat from a wood fire and then, once the proper softness has been reached, they are welded one onto each other to be then hammered until the desired copper tub shape is attained.

The manufacturing of each of these tubs is an sculpting task for the artisans. They usually work in teams and by using their hammers and chisels they patiently shape the copper plates, inch by inch, into the desired form of a bathtub. Once the shape has been attained then they proceed to heat the entire copper tub and then “patina” (clear or dark) is applied to the surface of the bathtub in order to protect it from water and the elements, making the lifetime of one of these tubs that of many years.

At the end the result of all this patient and careful work of the Mexican artisans is one of the most beautiful and stylish furniture you can add to your bathroom. A copper sculpture made for soaking, one piece of art waiting for you to take a comfortable bath in it.
