The Astounding Story of Steve Schwarzman

Posted by admin in Uncategorized

The story of Steve Schwarzman is one of success and a strong work ethic. Last year Steve was named as the fifty-third wealthiest in the United States collated by Forbes Magazine, even so it’s his patronage of the liberal arts and his astounding business accomplishments that make him such a fascinating individual. This goes to show that the greatest qualities in achieving success are hard work plus indefatigable persistence. In the mid-eighties Steve Schwarzman and Peter Peterson set up their initial business providing sound financial advice. Today, the Blackstone Group is known worldwide boasting investments as diverse as Allied Waste and La Quinta, to name but two. Living for many of his early years in near Philadelphia, PA, Steve commenced his early education in suburban Philadelphia. When he graduated from high school he went on to study further at the famous Yale University and was awarded his degree in 1969. Harvard Business School near Boston was the very next step in his education, where he received his Master’s degree in Business Administration in 1972. Then he started his career in earnest with Lehman Brothers investment bank, located in New York. Before he celebrated his 32nd birthday, he was already on the board. Stephen A. Schwarzman supports a range of educational programs as well as consulting as an adjunct professor at the well-known Yale School of Management. Furthermore, he is Chairman to the Board of Trustees at the JFK Center for the Performing Arts in Manhattan. And, to give back even more, Steve recently contributed to the New York Public Library $100,000,000 to support their expansion project. In fact the New York Public Library called their new extension after him. Steve is now a role model for a new generation of Americans — he was listed amongst Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People on the planet in acknowledgement of his worldwide influence on business. His domination of the business community has been spectacular, not to mention the fact that his unstinting support of music and the liberal arts has been an encouragement to the business world in general.

So the business space awaits Steve’s next move. So, to summarize, Steve has taken each and every opportunity given to him, but he has also made the best use of his riches and influence to do his best to ameliorate his community.
